Maria e la musica. Maria è cresciuta ascoltando musica classica, jazz e musica etnica che suo padre le faceva ascoltare per ore ogni giorno. Introdotta alla chitarra e al canto dal fratello Francesco, ha iniziato a studiare armonia all'età di 20 anni. Dal 1986 al 1994, Maria Sartori ha sviluppato la sua formazione e la sua esperienza di musicista attraverso un'intensa attività in Italia e in Europa. A New York ha goduto le infinite opportunità musicali offerte dalla città cantando con rinomati musicisti jazz, nei club più conosciuti della città, realizzando diversi progetti. In seguito - insieme al marito - ha fondato una etichetta discografica indipendente, la Spencer World Music e nel 2009 ha pubblicato il suo primo CD, Secrets. Attualmente è impegnata in nuovi progetti e collaborazioni.
Maria e la fotografia. Nel 2013 Maria scopre le potenzialità dell'iPhone e finalmente esprime la sua passione per la fotografia. Il direttore di Pramantha Arte la scopre su Facebook e la galleria organizza due mostre personali: la prima (1/17 maggio) per la Notte Europea dei Musei 2014, e la seconda per PHOTISSIMA art fair and festival di Torino (5/9 novembre 2014).
Le immagini prodotte da Maria Sartori Spencer raccontano l'originale e poetico approccio dell'artista al mondo della fotografia digitale. New York - dalla prospettiva del suo quotidiano attraversamento di un segmento di città, partendo da Brooklyn e arrivando alla United Nations Plaza, nel tempo di un'ora in andata e un'ora in ritorno - è l'accidentale soggetto della percezione estetico-visiva che Maria Sartori Spencer restituisce in immagine attraverso l'uso dell'iPhone.

Maria and music. Maria grew up listening to classical music, some jazz and the ethnic music her father would play for hours every day. She was introduced to the guitar and singing by her brother Francesco and she began her study of harmony when she was 20 years old. Since 1986 to 1994 Maria Sartori has developed his training and his experience as a musician through intensive activities in Italy and Europe. In New York she enjoyed the endless musical opportunities the city offered by singing with many jazz musicians in clubs around the city and recording different projects. Then - with her husband - she started her independent record label, the Spencer World Music and released her first CD Secrets. She is currently working in new projects.
Maria and photography. In 2013, Maria discovers the potential of the iPhone and expresses her passion for photography. Pramantha Arte's director discovers her on facebook and organizes two solo exhibitions: the first for the European Night of Museums 2014 (May 1/17) and the second for PHOTISSIMA art fair and festival 2014 in Torino (November 5/9).
The images produced by Maria Sartori Spencer reveal the artist's original and poetic approach to the digital photography world.
